1- Formalities of obtaining the status of importer of cameroon

The procedure for obtaining the status of exporter / importer includes three (03) steps :

• registration in the trade and furniture credit register ;
• obtaining the merchant card ;
• obtaining the exporter / importer card (registration in the exporter / importer register).

2- Import procedures in Cameroon

All import procedures are grouped into the Single Window of Foreign Trade Operations (e-Guce) platform through the single e-Force Foreign Trade Operations form. This Single Window brings together all the services involved in the import process. The import procedure consists of five (5) steps :

• The prior declaration of importation ;
• Obtaining the certificate of origin ;
• Pre-boarding control ;
• Technical formalities ;
• The domiciliation of imports.

3- Clearance procedure

At the port of Douala, the main office of Douala Port 7 and Parc Auto handles customs clearance operations.
