Cameroon's geographical position is the natural gateway for landlocked countries such as CHAD, CAR and Northern Congo.
The Port of Douala is the first port of the sub-region thanks to the preferential tariffs of CEMAC for these countries.
For CHAD, Almost 80% of imports pass through Cameroon.
On importation it applies to goods in direct transit and export of goods manufactured under the VAT system.
